First Day of The JCI European Conference in Budapest

The International Director of JCI Portsmouth is currently at the European Conference in Budapest.

The first day began with the registration as a delegate at the conference and a sightseeing tour around Budapest.

The Opening Ceremony saw 2,450 JCI delegates cheering and waving their national flags, whilst all National Presidents were welcomed on stage and several speeches by the Deputy Mayor of Budapest, National President of Hungary and final the JCI World President – Jun Sup Shin.

The Opening Ceremony featured a magician and a dance performance as breaks between the official speeches.

Finally, the delegates poured into the hall, where the Hungarian Welcome Night took place. The Welcome Night started with some traditional Hungarian music followed by the more common music played at parties.

Delegates partied until 2am, when they went on to go to the after party lasting until 5am.
