Speaking on your feet: An interactive workshop to help improve your confidence when speaking to an audience

Speaking in public can be a crucial part of any job, but sometimes it can seem a little daunting. Unlike most business skills, it is often seen as a difficult skill to practise, and it can often be difficult to get honest feedback from friends or colleagues.

This introductory workshop aims to provide you with the opportunity to practice ad-hoc speaking in front of an audience. It will be a light-hearted and interactive session, with a number of fun but stretching exercises designed to develop your speaking skills. After each exercise, you will have the opportunity to ask other attendees for feedback on your speaking style, pace and effectiveness.

Regardless of whether you need to speak to 5 people or 500 people, this event is for you!

Best Western Royal Beach Hotel, Southsea (opposite South Parade Pier.)

The Royal Beach Hotel can be found on Southsea Sea Front opposite South Parade Pier.

Parking
Parking is available at the back of the hotel on Mansion Road. Drive past the Hotel (with the hotel on your left) and take the first left into Granada Road. Take the second left into Alhambra Road. Follow the road down and left turn into Mansion Road. Hotel parking is on the right hand side. The car park is very narrow in places so please take care. Please ask Reception for a parking permit which must be placed in your car.

If parking is not available at the hotel, there is plenty of free parking adjacent to the hotel on Alhambra Road, or paid parking is along the sea front which is a short walk away from the hotel.

Cancellations
‘No shows’ or cancellations not received within 48 hours of the event will be invoiced because we confirm final numbers with the hotel 48 hours before the event.
